This curriculum within the Basic Skills Program is designed to help preschool age children develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to move on skates.
Parent & Tot
Ages 3-5 and a parent. For pre-school beginners who have never skated. Students will learn the proper way to fall and get up, marching, two-foot glides and backward wiggles, all while playing fun games with mom or dad!

The “Basic Skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. These eight levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves – forward skating, backward skating, stops, crossovers and turns. Upon completion of the Basic 1-8 levels, skaters will have the basic knowledge of the sport enabling them to advance to the more specialized areas of skating- free skating, dance, pairs and synchronized skating.

Testing
Skaters will be evaluated the last two weeks of the session. Upon passing, they will receive a badge for their achievement. These badges will be handed our by the coach on the last week of the session.
