The Sunday Night Hockey League aims to provide a competitive, enjoyable and safe game of hockey at a consistent time each week throughout the spring and summer. The program will permit you to relish those Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons with the family (and then sneak out Sunday night to hang with the guys). Lastly, our unique game format limits the typical aggressiveness and hostility that follow many mens league games (as does our Zero Tolerance Policy).
There will be two divisions of Sunday Night Hockey (a Gold and Silver/Bronze). Enrollment into the Gold division will require permission of the hockey director.
Skaters will be split into equally skilled teams prior to the start of the season. Teams will remain static after week two once the hockey director has had a chance to evaluate/balance the teams. Please bring a white and a dark jersey to each session as it is often necessary to balance the teams due to missing players. Excessive agression will not be tolerated.
Two teams of 14-15 players are divided randomly each night (teams are pre-determined prior to each week - PDFs will be posted below when available). Please bring a white and a dark jersey to each session as it is often necessary to balance the teams due to missing players. A referee officiates the game, and score will be maintained. Blatant penalties will result in a penalty shot. Excessive agression by any player will result in expulsion from the program.
Please see the format explained below as this is not a traditional league!
Excessive agression by any player will result in expulsion from the program. This program will fill and there will be guys waiting and ready to take a forfeited spot. The hockey director reserves the right to remove anyone from the program. Maintaining a safe and enjoyable game is our #1 priority. There are no winners/losers or league champions in this program. I suggest looking for a typical men's league if your goal is to "win" the league.
