The duathlon starts and finishes in the picturesque setting of Prairie Springs Park. The bike course will take you through our progressive urban community set among a rural country setting. The run courses will take you though Prairie Springs Park, a 425-acre park that surrounds Lake Andrea.

Start Time: The Duathlon will start at approximately the same time as the 5th wave of the Sprint Triathlon. The exact start time will be determined and announced during race weekend.

Race Cut-off Time: 11:30am for ALL race participants - Sprint, International, Duathlon. The Transition Area will be broken down starting at Noon.

First Run (Start)
The first run will take place around Lake Andrea on the running path. The start line will be at the finish line, running the course reversed. ALL athletes MUST report to the first run start 15 minutes prior to their scheduled wave start. The Sprint Duathlon course winds counter-clockwise around Lake Andrea, with entry to transition on the south side of the transition area.
The transition area is east of the swim start/finish. Bikes MUST be WALKED in the transition area. Mount and dismount zones are outside the transition area. Bikes MAY NOT be removed from the bike transition until the last bike has completed the bike course and exited the transition area for the start of the run. Anyone removing a bike from transition before the announcement is made to remove bikes will be automatically disqualified and subject to arrest.
The bike course is on gently rolling Village roads with minimal turns. The road surface is a mix of asphalt and concrete. A combination of course marshals and police are stationed throughout the course and at all turns. Each turn is also spray painted. Bikers are required to wear an approved, strapped helmet and radios are not allowed. All bikes are required to display a bike number.
Run Route: 5K Run
The run course is flat and fast. Water aid are available 2 times on the Sprint course. The Sprint Duathlon course winds around Lake Andrea, and includes an out-and-back section on Park Drive.
The Finish line is located inside Prairie Springs Park, on the east side of Lake Andrea, along the lakefront path. Water, fluid replacement and fresh fruit will be provided to athletes. Chip Removal: Please return your chips in the chip removal area. There is a $50 fee for chips NOT returned!
Courses are subject to change. All participants are required to familiarize themselves with the course before the start, per USAT rules.
