Indoor/Outdoor Race Format (April)

  • 400 meter pool swim
  • 4 mile spin bike
  • 2.3 mile run around Lake Andrea

General Information:

  • Wave start times will be posted the Thursday prior to race date at the RecPlex Fitness Center and here.
  • First wave at 7:30am SHARP & then waves go every 25 minutes.
  • Athletes must check-in 30 minutes before the start of their wave (check-in opens at 7:00am - you will not be able to enter the RecPlex before 6:55am).
  • Medals to all finishers.
  • Pick up your t-shirt when you finish the race.
  • Post-race Refreshments will be available for participants.
  • Registration: Registration $40; Late Registration $45 (per race)
  • Online registration closes at Wednesday 5:00pm of event week.
  • Please note there are no refunds on registration fees
  • There are no registration transfers
  • Swims are held in the Aqua Arena. The setup for each race will depend on any swim meets being held on race day. For February race the swim will likely be in 25 yard lanes. April and November races will likely be in 50 meter lanes. Your athlete instructions will indicate swim lane configuration.

Indoor Triathlon Scoring
The scoring gives equal weight to the swim, the bike, and the run, with your final score a summation of how you did compared to the winner in each of the three sports.

  • The swim, bike, and run will each be worth 100 points.
  • Male and female with the greatest distance in each event will be awarded 100 points.
  • Other participants will be awarded points based on their distance compared to the winner’s distance.
  • Final score is swim points + bike points + run points.

Indoor/Outdoor Triathlon Scoring
Scoring is by time, as in a "traditional" triathlon.

Special Requests — Please Read!

  • We will attempt to accommodate specific wave requests, when possible
  • All requests must be received in writing via e-mail  [email protected] , no later than 10 days before race date
  • Requests will be handled first-come, first-served
  • If you are requesting participants be in the same wave, each person must be registered for the race at the time of the request
  • Absolutely no changes will be made to waves once the wave list is posted
